‘Teen Wolf’ actor Daniel Sharman set to narrate ‘Clockwork Princess’ audiobook

Fandoms collide! Actor Daniel Sharman, who plays Isaac on MTV’s hit supernatural drama Teen Wolf, has been called in to narrate the last book in Cassandra Clare’s Infernal Devices series, Clockwork Princess.

The news comes via Hollywood Crush, where we learned that Clare was actually the one who pitched the idea of using him as the narrator in the first place.

Clare says,

During the casting process for the ‘Mortal Instruments’ movie, the casting director and I talked about probably every young actor in Hollywood. Daniel Sharman had just come off doing ‘Immortals,’ and I remember we talked about him as an actor who had huge talent and promise. When we were looking for someone who could read the ‘Clockwork Princess’ audiobook, I thought of him because he seemed like someone who could capture the parts of the narrative that require vulnerability as well as the ones that require a great grasp of action.

We definitely have to agree with Clare’s assessment of Sharman. On Teen Wolf, Sharman plays Isaac, a young man with an abusive father. He is the first of three teens Derek has chosen to offer the bite to, in order to build a pack and increase his strength now that he is Alpha. Isaac is a complex character that begins as a vulnerable and frightened teen who turns into a cocky and strong werewolf, only to eventually realize that he wants to do what’s right, even if that means putting himself in danger.

Clockwork Princess is the third book in a series that details the lives of Tessa, William, and Jem. It is set in Victorian times and in the same Shadowhunter world that the Mortal Instruments series takes place in, albeit it many years prior. Both the book and the audiobook will be available for purchase on March 19. You can pre-order it from Amazon now.
