Updated: According to a pre-sale ticket stub earlier today, Ridley Scott’s Prometheus received it’s MPAA rating.  Now, 20th Century Fox has confirmed the rating with an explanation.

Snow White and the Huntsman has been rated PG-13 by the MPAA for “intense sequences of fantasy/epic battle warfare, violence and action, some frightening images, thematic material and mild sensuality.”

The MPAA have yet to give The Avengers its rating (although PG-13 is almost certain), but the BBFC and IFCO have done so as of today.

Though The Weinstein Company was prepared to release the film without a rating after receiving an ‘R,’ the MPAA has now granted Bully a PG-13 rating.

Men in Black 3 has been given a PG-13 certificate by the MPAA for for “sci-fi action violence, and brief suggestive content.”

The MPAA recently went under fire for refusing to lower the rating of Harvey Weinstein documentary Bully from R to PG-13. Now popular movie critic Richard Roeper is calling out the group.

Though it may not come as a surprise, today The Hunger Games producer Nina Jacobsen is speaking out on why future films in the franchise won’t be rated R.

Briefly: Back in February we reported that head honcho of The Weinstein Co. Harvey Weinstein was considering boycotting the MPAA after Bully, one of his documentaries, was given an R-rating by the ratings company. The Weinstein Company has now released a statement saying that the bullying documentary will, in fact, be released “unrated,” following an unsuccessful appeals campaign.
