‘Supernatural’ 8×14 ‘Trial and Error’ sneak peek, promo released

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, our coverage will be reduced. We can't wait to get back to serving you all of the latest fandom news as soon as we can.

The CW has released a sneak peek and promo for the fourteenth episode of Supernatural‘s eighth season, titled “Trial and Error.”

First, the sneak peek:

In this clip, Sam and Dean have gone looking for Kevin, who has been busy translating the the Word of God tablet. The brothers find Kevin vomiting, and he admits that he hasn’t been sleeping, has been eating nothing but hot dogs, has been getting headaches and nosebleeds, and possibly had “a small stroke.”

But, he tells them, it was all worth it because he figured out how to close the gates of Hell.

We also have a promo for the episode:

The promo details what Dean calls “God’s little obstacle course,” which, according to the episode synopsis, involves “a series of three tests designed by God” that must be completed in order to seal the gates of Hell. The first test is to kill a hellhound.

And because the tests must be faced by one person, “Sam and Dean argue over who should complete the trials.”

We’re also guessing that it’ll only be a matter of time until Crowley and his demonic minions show up to get in the brothers’ way. And, of course, the King of Hell learned of the existence of an Angel tablet that could have the same effect on Heaven.

All in all, it looks like this episode should set up an exciting back half of the season!

“Trial and Error” airs Wednesday, February 13 at 9:00 p.m. ET.
