Looks like we’ll be seeing much more of Brett Gelman when Stranger Things season 4 premieres on Netflix!
Update (3/3/2020): According to Deadline, actor Brett Gelman has officially been upped to a series regular for the highly anticipated fourth season of Stranger Things.
Gelman plays Murray Bauman on the hit series— the paranoid investigative journalist turned private investigator, whom viewers first met in season 2.
Season 3 found Murray getting even more involved with the chaos in Hawkins after he teamed up with Hopper and Joyce to kidnap the Russian scientist, Alexi, whom Murray also served as a translator for.
Murray and Alexi’s unexpected friendship was definitely a fan favorite story arc last season, and while we won’t be seeing more of that come season 4, we’re sure there are plenty of viewers who will be looking forward to seeing what sort of role Murray steps into as the series progresses.
Brett Gelman isn’t the only actor who’s been upped to series regular for season 4.
As we learned just last month, actress Priah Ferguson, who plays Lucas’ scene-stealing little sister, was also upped to series regular status for the new season.

Original Story (2/23/2020):
You know what that means? Even more ice cream in Stranger Things season 4!
Variety is reporting that Priah Ferguson, who plays Lucas’s little sister Erica on Stranger Things, has been promoted to series regular for the show’s fourth season.
Ferguson first appeared as Erica Sinclair in Stranger Things season 2, but she really made an impression in season 3 when her small stature came in very handy for Steve, Dustin, and Robin’s mission. However, Erica definitely didn’t work for free. She managed to secure unlimited ice cream for herself in return.

It makes perfect sense for Ferguson to be upped to series regular for the next season of Stranger Things, since she was such a huge part of the action in season 3. Also, as the younger characters in the show get older, we can expect to see their roles change to fit where they are in life. We’re expecting Mike and Nancy’s adorable little sister to become a bigger asset to the team any day now!
We still don’t have a premiere date for Stranger Things season 4, but a recently released teaser for the season revealed something huge that fans had been going crazy over. The season 3 finale was extremely emotional as it appeared to result in Jim Hopper’s death, but from this teaser, it looks like he is alive and…not so well. Hopefully everyone, including Erica Sinclair, will be busy trying to get him back in Stranger Things season 4.
