Dark Horse’s new Stranger Things comic book prequel mini-series will introduce us to a brand new teen with abilities, Six.
We all are gearing up for the July release of the third season of Stranger Things, and we can’t wait to find out what new adventures await our favorite group of friends in Hawkins, Indiana. However, while we’re stoked for the future, there are still a lot of questions surrounding what happened before the events of season 1.
Namely, what really went on with the children in Hawkins Laboratory? We’ve seen snippets of the experiments they put Eleven through and saw more reports from Kali (aka Eight), but there is still a lot of unknowns. Dark Horse is out to change that with their brand new prequel mini-series, Stranger Things: Six.
The Hollywood Reporter has a trailer for the new comic series, and you’ve got to check it out.
Six is set well before the first season of Stranger Things and tells the story of a young woman named Francine (Six). After living with her abusive family, Francine falls in line with the infamous Dr. Brenner.
However, does the psychic teen really see what is in store for her at Hawkins Laboratory, or will she be able to see a better future for herself outside of the lab? Judging by the trailer for the four-issue series, Francine is incredibly powerful and is also able to open up portals to the Upside Down.
We don’t see her in the lab when season 1 showed up Eleven’s time there, so does that mean she managed to escape, that she died, or was she just being kept somewhere we never saw? We’ll learn her fate and more about Dr. Brenner’s experiments when the first issue of Stranger Things: Six hits comic book stores and online on May 29.
