Steven Yeun could soon be joining the cast of Jordan Peele’s next film.
According to Deadline, Academy Award nominee Steven Yeun is currently in talks to join the cast of Oscar winner Jordan Peele’s next movie.
As with Get Out and Us, Peele is set to serve as writer and director on his next project for Universal. In addition, the Academy Award winner will also serve as the untitled project’s producer along with Ian Cooper. Both Cooper and Peele will produce via the director’s Monkeypaw Productions banner.
Plot details for Peele’s untitled Universal project are being kept firmly under wraps for now. Similarly, details surrounding who Steven Yeun (Minari, The Walking Dead) will play should he join the cast are being kept shrouded in secrecy.
If he signs on, Yeun will join actress Keke Palmer in starring in the film. The Hustlers and Scream Queens vet signed on for the film back in February of this year.
Also in talks to star is fellow Academy Award nominee Daniel Kaluuya, who last worked with Peele on the critically acclaimed Get Out.
All in all, it seems as though Jordan Peele is lining up a pretty stellar cast for his next film, and we can’t wait to find out more details about what we can expect from the project!
Coming up next, Peele fans can lookin forward to checking out Candyman (2021), set to debut in August. Peele didn’t direct, but he did co-write the screenplay for the forthcoming spiritual sequel to the 1992 horror film of the same name along with Win Rosenfeld.
