Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is now one more thing you can add to your social isolation watch list!
It seems like everything’s being delayed or cancelled in the attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19, so it’s great that Disney is giving us some treats to keep us busy while we bunker down in our homes. First, they released Frozen 2 three months early on Disney+, and now, they’re making Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker available on digital home video a few days early.

According to EW, the movie was released on digital home video late on Friday, March 13, four days ahead of its intended release on Tuesday, March 17. You know what that means..you now have a whole extra weekend to obsess over the end of the Star Wars Skywalker saga. Because we definitely haven’t done that enough already.
No official word yet on when Star Wars:The Rise of Skywalker will be released on Disney+, but it’s expected to come in the summer of 2020. However, with Disney starting the trend of early releases, it’s always possible that could be moved up.
For those of you looking for a physical copy of the movie, the DVD is still set to be released on March 31, 2020.
