Lonely men are mad because ‘Star Wars: Rogue One’ has a female lead

By Andrew Sims | Edited by Brandi Delhagen

Two Star Wars films in a row feature a female in the lead role, and guys who may or may not be very lonely are upset about it.

Today’s Star Wars: Rogue One trailer release has caused those guys who were complaining about Rey in The Force Awakens to come out of the woodwork again, this time raising a fuss over Felicity Jones — a female — playing Jyn.

They appear to be sad that a Luke or Han type isn’t leading the first Star Wars spinoff, which is set in between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope.

Here’s a tweet Hypable’s own Karen Rought received when she expressed her excitement for the new movie:

Most of the whiners appear to be on YouTube:

Ken Jennings may’ve said it best:

We like this person’s thoughts on the matter too:

Luckily for the complainers, we can confirm that there will be dudes in the movie. Like this one played by Diego Luna. He’s cute, isn’t he, dudes?
