Tom Holland continued his time honored tradition of letting information slip before its intended release. This time, it was the title of the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel.
Holland, who was making an appearance at Seattle’s Ace Comic-Con, released a video on his Instagram, apologizing to fans that might have been expecting big news to come out of the appearance.
Though he remained tight lipped on details — up to, and including, how he wasn’t certain how things would work out, with Peter turned to dust in Infinity War — his iPad told a different story.
When Holland held it up, to illustrate that he had received his script, the title for the Homecoming sequel was present for all to see.
According to Holland’s slip, the film will be called Spider-Man: Far from Home. Whether the reveal was intentional or not is an entirely different question, but for now, we can cross the title off the list of things we know about the movie.
Details about Far from Home haven’t been very forthcoming, which is understandable, considering the impact the Infinity War fallout will have on it. With Avengers 4 slated to be released ahead of Far from Home, we should expect details to be sparse.
What we do know is that Far From Home is set to be released on July 5, 2019, and Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to play the villain, Mysterio.
