Spider-Man 3 finally has a title— for real this time!
Fans of Spider-Man were thrown for a loop yesterday (February 23) when actors Tom Holland, Jacob Batalon, and Zendaya took to Instagram to share a couple of fake movie titles for the highly anticipated third movie.
The good news is, that fans itching to know the title of the threequel don’t have to wait any longer. In fact, the official title for Spider-Man 3 has finally been revealed!
The superhero franchise took to its officially Twitter account on Wednesday (February 24) morning to reveal that the official title for Spider-Man 3 is Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Holland (Peter Parker), Batalon (the web-slinger’s resident man in the chair, Ned), and Zendaya (Michelle) were on hand to partake in the exciting reveal, spreading the news to fans far and wide in the form of a fun video announcement.
The special video reveal opens with Holland walking out of director Jon Watt’s office, at which point he’s questioned about the status of the title by Zendaya.
“They gave us a fake name again,” Holland laments. “I just don’t understand why he keeps doing this.”
“You don’t understand?” Batalon deadpans. “I think it’s pretty obvious you spoil things.”
“It’s kinda your thing,” Zendaya adds, sharing a few examples of Holland’s notorious track record for spilling Marvel secrets. “Your thing is to spoil things.”
As the trio walk through the halls of the studio, we’re finally treated to a white board which features the title Spider-Man: No Way Home surrounded by a slew of other defunct titles— including the ones Holland, Batalon, and Zendaya posted to Instagram.
