Sophie Turner’s first role post–Game of Thrones has her once again isolated and fighting for her life in a snowy, windswept landscape.
Only this time, she has Corey Hawkins to help her out rather than the shell of Theon Greyjoy.
The former Queen of the North is the star of Quibi’s upcoming survival thriller series Survive, which is based author Richard Abate’s novel of the same name. The show first debuted a teaser in late February, giving Sophie Turner’s fans a peak at her newest project.
Check her out braving the elements and trying to fight for her life in the full trailer for Survive below!
Survive stars Sophie Turner (of Game of Thrones fame and Dark Phoenix infamy) as Jane, and Tony nominee Corey Hawkins (best known for Straight Outta Compton and Six Degrees of Separation) as Paul.
The series centers on Jane and Paul, following their story as as their plane crashes on a remote snow-covered mountain and the two find themselves as the only remaining survivors of the crash.
The two must pull themselves out of the wreckage and fight for their lives, and together, embark on a harrowing journey out of the wilderness, battling brutal conditions and personal traumas.
Survive, which marks Sophie Turner’s first major TV role since her turn as Sansa Stark in HBO’s Game of Thrones, is directed by Mark Pellington from a script adapted by Abate and Jeremy Ungar. It will be produced by Abate, Cary Granat, and Ed Jones with Gunpowder & Sky’s Barry Barclay, as well as Van Toffler and Floris Bauer serving as executive producers.
Quibi will launch on April 6, 2020, with the first episode of Survive available upon its premiere. Quibi — which is short for Quick Bites — is set to feature series and films that run two to four hours in length and are broken down into parts that are no longer than 10 minutes in length. The chapters will be released everyday until the film or series is complete.
Quibi will have two different cost structures. $4.99 per month with ads, and $7.99 with no ads.
