‘SNL’ recap: Kate McKinnon stuns with ‘Hallelujah’ cold open

This week comedian Dave Chappelle hosted SNL along with musical guest A Tribe Called Quest.

‘SNL’ Recap: Cold Open

This week’s cold open was one for the ages. Paying tribute to Leonard Cohen, who passed away this week, Kate McKinnon performed his famous song “Hallelujah” in character as Hillary Clinton. It was a moving performance that will surely have Hillary Clinton supporters emotional.

Opening Monologue

For his opening monologue, Chappelle did a stand-up comedy set that touched on the election and race relations.

Election Night Party

In the first sketch of the night, Chris Rock showed up in a sketch to spoof the reaction differences of the election between white people and black people.

‘The Walking Dead’ x ‘Chappelle Show’

Chappelle also brought back one of his Chappelle Show characters in a digital sketch spoofing The Walking Dead. Check out his rendition of this season’s dramatic death.

A Tribe Called Quest performs
