The Kingdom Hearts 3 opening theme song will be a collaboration between “Simple and Clean” singer Utada Hikaru and long-time Kingdom Hearts fan Skrillex.
The Kingdom Hearts Twitter account officially announced the news of the collaboration that had been floating around for a few days. The song will be titled “Face My Fears,” and will be the Kingdom Hearts 3 opening theme song. “Face My Fears” will be a completely new song, separate from the Kingdom Hearts 3 ending theme, “Don’t Think Twice,” which has been featured heavily in all of the Kingdom Hearts 3 promotional material.

This news will excite fans that weren’t too hot on Hikaru’s “Don’t Think Twice.” Sure, the song will make for a great ending theme, but we all doubted that it could be remixed as well as Hikaru’s “Simple and Clean” and “Sanctuary” were for the previous numbered Kingdom Hearts games.
Long-time #KingdomHearts fan @Skrillex originally asked to remix @utadahikaru's track, "Don’t Think Twice". However, owing to the pair’s friendship, this has now developed into a new & original collaboration…#KH3sharethemagic pic.twitter.com/27mCNme7gH
