The Weeknd’s Super Bowl Halftime Show will be the subject of a brand new documentary coming soon from Showtime.
On Friday (February 12), Showtime announced plans to air a 90-minute documentary set to focus on giving viewers a glimpse into what it took to bring this year’s 2021 Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show starring The Weeknd to life.
Titled The Show, the forthcoming documentary is directed by Nadia Hallgreen, who previously helmed the Emmy Award nominated Michelle Obama documentary, Becoming.
In a statement announcing the debut of The Show, Pepsi’s VP of Marketing, Todd Kaplan, spoke of how the documentary will show viewers just how much time and effort it took to bring The Weeknd’s 13-minute performance to life.

In addition to announcing the forthcoming documentary, Showtime and Pepsi also released a brand new 30-second teaser, which offers up a taste of the grandiose production.
