By Marama Whyte | Edited by Brandi Delhagen

These Doctor Who/Sherlock crossover memes perfectly explain your feelings about the Sherlock season 3 premiere. Warning: Doctor Who 50th anniversary spoilers ahead.

Sherlock season 3 is set to premiere this Christmas season in the United Kingdom. Previous scheduling suggests that this premiere will be either December 22 or December 29. The detective drama is already confirmed to air on PBS on January 19 in the United States. Given that the Sherlock season 2 finale aired on January 15, 2012, it is not surprising that Sherlock fans are growing restless. “The Reichenbach Fall” left fans on a cliffhanger (or just after one), and two years later, we want to know what happens next.

Doctor Who fans were luckier when the recent 50th anniversary, “The Day of the Doctor,” gave them basically everything they could have ever wanted. A giant twist that entirely reconfigured the reboot? The return of beloved actors from the classic era? Matt Smith and David Tennant sassing each other? Check, check, check.
