A ghost bride will be causing havoc in the upcoming Sherlock special.
The newest trailer for Sherlock: The Abominable Bride finds Sherlock and Watson going after an undead member of society who appears to be avenging… something
Is this not the version of Sherlock you were expecting to see? As previously announced, Sherlock: The Abominable Bride is set in the Edwardian era. This is a one-off story that doesn’t connect to the regular Sherlock TV series, save for the actors who are portraying the characters.
Despite the different time period, the entertainment value will be as strong as ever thanks to Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. “To the morgue, there’s not a moment to lose! Which is what one can so rarely say at a morgue,” quips Sherlock at one point in this preview.
The special airs on television beginning January 1, 2016. The film will hit theaters a few days later.
