Mark your calendars, Selena fans— we finally know when Selena: The Series is set to debut via Netflix!

Fans of Tejano music icon Selena Quintanilla have been anxiously anticipating word from Netflix with regards to when the streamer’s series based on her life might be making its grand debut. Now, we’ve finally got our answer to that particular question.

On Tuesday (October 6), Netflix announced that part one of the two-part series is set to debut via their platform on December 4, 2020.

Netflix paired its premiere date announcement with a brand new teaser video that offers up a few new glimpses of actress Christian Serratos as the famed Mexican-American singer in some of her most iconic outfits.

In addition to the black and white imagery, the trailer for Selena: The Series also features a bit of dialogue between Serratos’ Selena and fellow co-star Gabriel Chavarria, who plays the singer’s father, Abraham in the upcoming bio-series.

“When I see you on that stage, I still see the six year old girl singing in our backyard,” says the voice of Abraham over the singer’s now legendary slowed down intro to “Como La Flor”

In addition to Serratos and Chavarria, the series also stars Ricardo Chavira, Noemi Gonzalez, Seidy Lopez, Julio Macias, Jesse Posey, Hunter Reese Pena, and Carlos Alfredo Jr.
