The author shared the synopsis for the second book during a Friday morning panel at New York Comic Con moderated by none other than Wil Wheaton.

That Wheaton was on hand to read out the official synopsis for the sequel is especially fitting given that he’ll be serving as narrator for the audio book.

So what’s coming up next for Wade Watts? Per the book’s official synopsis, there’ll be more secrets, more clues, a new quest, and one last Easter egg left behind by Halliday himself. And if you thought the stakes were high in Ready Player One, it’s nothing compared to what’s at stake in the sequel!
