The official blog of J.K. Rowling’s Pottermore today revealed how you’ll be able to get early access to the site ahead of its public release in November!
The gist of the information: over the next week there will be a limited number of beta invites that can go out each day. By finding a clue on the Pottermore site, you’ll have a chance at getting yourself access.
Sadly, if you do manage to be one of the people who gets beta access, you won’t be able to actually get into the site until an unknown date (they say “a few weeks”).
The details also say that they will not be announcing when a new code word goes live each day. While this is frustrating, this is where sites like Hypable will be able to help get the word out about each clue being up.
Note: The first clue is NOT out yet. We will make a new news post when it is!
A copy of the announcement can be seen below. For more on Pottermore, click here!

In the interview was some interesting information about a Magical Quill, located in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The Magical Quill detects the birth of a magical child and writes their name down in a large book. Every year, Professor McGonagall checks the book and sends owls to the children who are turning eleven, to inform them that they have a place at Hogwarts.
