This is a special episode of Hypable’s Once Upon a Time podcast Onceable, where Selina Wilken speaks to Chad Michael Collins, who guest starred in 2×12 “In the Name of the Brother” as Gerhardt/Frankenstein’s monster.

In the interview, Collins talks about the process of becoming Frankenstein’s monster and working with blue screen, revealing how the cast and crew manage to get the feel of the scenery across while shooting even though most of the fairytale sets are CGI.

He also talks about Once Upon a Time‘s ability to take classic characters and humanise them, and how he specifically tried to do that with Frankenstein’s monster. Collins discusses the possibility of returning to the show in the future, and reveals what other fairytale characters he’d like to see Gerhardt interact with on the show.

Finally he shares his experience of filming with the cast and crew of the show, and previews his upcoming projects – including the WWII action movie Company of Heroes, which is out February 26.
