Hype Podcast #88 welcomes Kristen as our new regular host! Our news breakdown includes Mary Poppins, Ready Player One and Xena stories, and in our TV show segment we talk The 100 and The Walking Dead.

How We Hype:
– Kristen is going to see all the Oscar nominated movies, and is beta testing Hank Green’s board game
– Pam highly recommends Triple 9
– Selina celebrated her birthday, and is lost in Fallout 4 (it’s so good you guys).

News:
– Disney is in talks with Emily Blunt for the Mary Poppins movie, and that is literally the only person we could see in the role!
– ALSO! Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda might join her. This is too good to be true
– Ready Player One news! Ahh it’s been a long time. We have our Parzival!
– There’s a trailer for Pete’s Dragon, and it’s oddly dark
– John Williams has offered some cool info on how he created Rey and Kylo Ren’s themes
– Harper Lee and Umberto Eco have sadly passed away, but they lived long lives
– Sherlock season 4 is finally happening!
– Neal is heading back to Once Upon a Time — will Emma have to make a choice in the Underworld?
– Some new Xena reboot details further reassures us that this will (or can) be really good
– Kesha issues first public statement since judge’s Dr. Luke ruling.

TV Show of the Week:
– Selina and Kristen have a mini The 100 discussion. We’re so angry and it’s great
– Pam is all about The Walking Dead and that hook-up
– Kristen gushes about Survivor and previews the long-awaited The Vampire Diaries/The Originals crossover.
