Paul Feig has just become the latest Hollywood A-lister to announce he’ll be adopting inclusion riders into all of his films going forward.
It looks like people in Hollywood are taking Best Actress winner Frances McDormand’s speech at the Oscars to heart!
The Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri star notably left everyone watching both in house and at home to ponder over the idea of an inclusion rider and now, it looks like director Paul Feig is taking McDormand’s words to heart.
Feig, who’s brought us films like Ghostbusters and Bridesmaids, took to Twitter on Tuesday to announce that his production company would officially be adopting an inclusion rider for all entities it produces going forward.
“Thrilled to announce that Feigco Entertainment is officially adopting an #inclusionrider for all our film and TV productions moving forward,” tweeted the director. “Thank you to @Inclusionists and Stacy L. Smith for their guidance and inspiration. We challenge other companies and studios to do the same.”

As we learned shortly after Oscar Sunday wrapped on March 4, an inclusion rider contractually requires that there be a certain level of diversity both in front of and behind the camera in a production.
Given Feig’s profile as a big time director and producer, it’s exciting to hear that he’s the latest to adopt inclusion riders into Feigco Entertainments’ productions.
We’ll be looking forward to seeing who else is inspired to make a similar change at their own production companies going forward.
