A Once Upon a Time tie-in novel titled Reawakened will take readers inside the minds of the characters during the tumultuous first season.
EW has learned that Once Upon a Time is making its publishing debut with Reawakened, written by Odette Beane and published by Disney-owned Hyperion books.
Reawakened essentially tells the story of the first season in novel form, and promises fans of the show, “A whole new look at their favorite characters and stories.”
The book will be told from both Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin)’s points of view, and will feature both the Storybrooke and flashback storylines.
There is the potential for this novel to be the first in a series, with subsequent works presumably spanning the events in later seasons, or maybe taking other characters’ points of view. Maybe we’ll get one which examines the villains’ perspectives!
Reawakened will be released on April 27 in e-book format, and then one week later as a paperback edition.
Are you going to pick up this novel to dive into Emma and Snow’s states of mind as they experience the events of season 1?
Once Upon a Time returns this Sunday with 2×18 “Selfless, Brave and True,” which airs at 8/7c on ABC.
