Get ready to see more of Abuelita on On My Block season 4!
According to Deadline, actress Peggy Blow has been upped to a series regular for On My Block season 4 on Netflix.
Blow has appeared on the hit Netflix dramedy in the recurring role of Abuelita since the series first season.
While she’s first and foremost Rubi’s brash, 420 friendly grandma, Abuelita shares some unforgettable scenes with quite a few of On My Block’s young stars. Her relationship with Jamal and their quest to find the Roller World money lies at the heart of the majority of the first and second seasons of the series.
With that in mind, we’re sure fans of the show will be excited to know that we’ll be seeing a bit more of Peggy Blow as Abuelita before On My Block wraps up its fourth and final season.
Created by Lauren Iungerich, Eddie Gonzalez, and Jeremy Haft, the series center on four teens growing up in the rough LA neighborhood of Freeridge.
First debuting via Netflix back in 2018, the online streaming giant revealed at the start of the year that On My Block season 4 would be its last.
Season 4 has not yet been issued a premiere date, but when the series returns with new episodes, it’ll finally clue fans into what transpires after Monse (Sierra Capri), Jamal (Brett Gray), Ruby (Jason Genao), Jasmine (Jessica Marie Garcia), and Cesar (Diego Tinoco) go their separate ways at the tail end of season 3.
