Frustrated that you missed out on seeing Olaf’s Frozen Adventure ahead of Pixar’s Coco? We’ve got some great news.
When Olaf’s Frozen Adventure was pulled from airing before Coco last week, reaction was mixed. Critics of the short, who called it a shameless ad for Frozen 2, were glad to see it go. However, for those movie-goers that enjoyed (or were looking forward to) the misadventures of Olaf and Sven, it was a disappointment.
Now the short is heading to its originally intended home: ABC’s 25 Days of Christmas extravaganza.

Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, which clocks in at 22 minutes, will debut on the ABC Television Network on December 14, at 8 p.m. EST.
The synopsis for the short, which was directed by Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers-Skelton, reads:
In Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, Olaf (voice of Josh Gad) teams up with Sven on a merry mission. It’s the first holiday season since the gates reopened and Anna (voice of Kristen Bell) and Elsa (voice of Idina Menzel) host a celebration for all of Arendelle. When the townspeople unexpectedly leave early to enjoy their individual holiday customs, the sisters realize they have no family traditions of their own. So, Olaf sets out to comb the kingdom to bring home the best traditions and save Anna and Elsa’s “first Christmas in forever.”
Of the move, Olaf’s Frozen Adventure producer Roy Conli said, “”We are thrilled to be part of ABC’s ’25 Days of Christmas’ festivities. While making the film, our crew was so inspired by all of the great television holiday specials of the past. It’s a dream come true for all of us.”
