Fire up the oven! Soon you’ll be happy to create food that looks exactly like all your favorite Pokémon.
The official Pokémon cookbook, already available in Japan, will be making its way to the United States by the end of this year, publisher VIZ Media revealed in a new interview. Here’s the cookbook’s Japanese cover, which offers a few nice looks at the delectable and adorable creations within:
The publisher says the cookbook will be “aimed at kids” (Haha, let’s be real: Tons of adults are going to buy this), and will teach you how to make things like Pikachu ramen, Poke Ball sushi rolls, Mashed Meowth Potatoes, and Psyduck omelets. “All of the recipes are made to look like the faces or the body of a character from Pokemon. It’s really fun, we’re very excited about it,” said Beth Kawasaki at VIZ.
Sounds great! We just wonder if there’s any chance of an edible Magikarp recipe:
The Pokémon Cookbook will be out in December, sneaking in at the very end of the franchise’s 20th anniversary celebration. Also due out at the end of the year are two new Pokémon games titled Sun and Moon. We’re hopeful that more details about the new games will be unveiled during this year’s E3.
