The rumors were true, but they couldn’t have predicted this: Nintendo’s SNES Classic is official and will include a host of beloved games, including a lost Star Fox.
SNES Classic arrives September 29 and will cost $79.99. 21 games will come included on the system, four of which are Super Mario titles. Like the NES Classic, the SNES can fit in the palm of your hand and will plug into your TV via HDMI.
Also on the system are such classics like Donkey Kong Country, Star Fox, Kirby Super Star, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Super Metroid. If that weren’t enough, there’s a new Star Fox game called Star Fox 2 — it was a project in development in the ’90s but was ultimately canceled by Nintendo. The game had leaked in various forms via ROMs over the years.

Last year’s NES Classic was a huge hit but the system was nearly impossible to get your hands on. Hopefully Nintendo will be able to make more SNES Classic consoles.
Unlike the NES Classic, the SNES Classic will include two controllers.
