It’s November 12 and to The Newsroom fans that means something very special – season 2 filming for Aaron Sorkin’s HBO show has begun!
As we first reported back in August, The Newsroom star Emily Mortimer let slip that season 2 filming was set for November 12. This has now been confirmed by Mortimer’s co-star Olivia Munn who responded to a fan on Twitter.

The star of the show, Jeff Daniels, recently expressed his excitement about returning to work with his Newsroom cast-mates. Now actress Kelen Coleman, known for her portrayal of Lisa in the Don-Maggie-Jim-Lisa love-quadrangle, is getting in on the action.

Thomas Sadoski jumped onto Twitter to welcome the two newest members of the Newsroom family, Patton Oswalt and Rosemarie DeWitt (and on-screen girlfriend Alison Pill echoed his sentiments by re-tweeting). Details of their characters have already surfaced, just be aware of minor spoilers if you choose to read them.
Thrilled to welcome the badasses that are @pattonoswalt and Rosemarie DeWitt to the #Newsroom family this season. So lucky to have them.
