Brad Bird’s sequel to his hit Pixar film The Incredibles has just released a super new trailer!
With two months to go until our favorite Supers hit the big screen, the latest trailer offers fun, action, and all our favorite characters back in the saddle. Watch below:
This Incredibles 2 trailer gives us a great new look at exactly what Helen Parr, aka Elastigirl, is up to as she works to give Supers a good name and “bring them back into the sunlight.” By saving people across the city, she’ll give Supers a good name again, and hopefully build a future where her kids can decide for themselves how they want to use their powers.
Of course, while she’s busy doing that, her husband Robert is at home watching the kids. And while watching two adolescents and an infant is challenging for anyone, as Jack-Jack comes into his powers a bit more, babysitting quickly devolves from being a challenge to being a fight for survival. It’s still not clear exactly what Jack-Jack’s powers are specifically, but from what we can see in the trailer, he can do a little bit of everything.
More importantly, we get a split second introduction to who appears to be the new Big Bad of the movie: the Screenslaver. We don’t know exactly what this villain’s game is, but with the Parr family protecting humanity, this new, digital baddie doesn’t stand a chance.
In addition to the new trailer, a new poster was also released:
According to a synopsis from Disney, “In Incredibles 2, Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose super powers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.”
The movie hits theaters June 15 and is written and directed by Brad Bird.
