The first season of the runaway hit introduced viewers to Devi Vishwakumar, a brainy Indian American teenager who hatches a plan to make the most of the rest of her time in high school by climbing the social ranks, getting a boyfriend, and losing her virginity. Devi’s plan might seem foolproof in theory, but in practice it leads to some hilariously catastrophic moments.

Word of a renewal is great news for fans who just couldn’t get enough of Devi’s story— especially for those itching to know what’s going to happen next following the series’ explosive first season finale!

Never Have I Ever, which first premiered via Netflix on April 27, hails from Mindy Kaling, who co-created the coming-of-age series alongside Lang Fisher. Fisher, in addition, serves as the show’s writer, executive producer, and showrunner.

In addition to announcing Never Have I Ever season 2, the online streaming giant also confirmed that the show’s core cast members Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Poorna Jagannathan, Richa Moorjani, Jaren Lewison, Darren Barnet, Lee Rodriguez and Ramona Young have all signed on to return for the series’ highly anticipated second season.

The aforementioned cast members will be reprising their roles as Devi, Nalini, Kamala, Ben, Paxton, Fabiola, and Eleanor, respectively.

And speaking of the cast, the whole crew got together (virtually) to break the big season 2 news to fans far and wide on Twitter. Check out their fun video announcement below!

Currently, there’s no word on when we can expect Never Have I Ever season 2 to hit Netflix, but we’ll be keeping our eyes and ears peeled for more details as they come along!
