Fans of Netflix’s Selena: The Series won’t have to wait much longer before they can check out part 2 of the hit bio drama.
On Friday (January 15), Netflix revealed that part 2 of Selena: the Series would officially be premiering on May 14, 2021.
The part 2 premiere date announcement also comes hot on the heels of Netflix revealing that part one raked in some pretty impressive views. Per the online streaming giant, 25 million households globally have enjoyed part 1 since it premiered in December 2020.
Selena: The Series part 2 will serve as the conclusion to the runaway hit, which tells the story of famed Tejano music icon, Selena Quintanilla, beginning from her origins as a young girl with big dreams growing up in Texas, to rising in the ranks in the male-driven genre of Tejano music.

The first part of the highly anticipated series threw fans for a bit of a loop as it aimed its spotlight on the Quintanilla family moreso than it did its titular star. With that in mind, we’re sure many will be tuning in to part two in the hopes that we get to see more of the Mexican-American singer coming into her own.
