The men of Netflix’s Queer Eye are bringing their fab flare to Japan!
If you’re one of the many who follow the Fab Five’s every move on social media, chances are you’ve noticed quite a few of the guys Insta-storying up a storm on what seemed to be quite a long flight.
The guys made sure to keep their final destination quiet, but now Netflix has officially let fans in on where Antoni, Karamo, Bobby, Jonathan and Tan are heading!
In a tweet sent out on Wednesday (January 23), Netflix’s See What’s Next account revealed The Fab Five is traveling to Japan to film a four-episode special titled Queer Eye: We’re In Japan!.
The four-part series sounds like it’ll be Queer Eye with a twist. While Karamo, Bobby, Tan, Antoni, and Jonathan will still be giving makeovers to some lucky individuals, we’ll also be seeing the Fab Five take in all aspects of Japanese culture firsthand.
“#QueerEye is headed to Japan! The Fab Five will work with local tastemakers to make-better a new group of heroes, while they learn and experience Japanese cuisine, fashion, design, grooming and culture firsthand in a four-episode special!” tweeted the online streaming platform.

In a statement announcing the new four-episode special, creator David Collins spoke more about the kinds of people the Fab Five will be helping as part of the Japan series.
“In just a year since we launched season one, Queer Eye has become a global phenomenon once again and the Fab Five are truly the ambassadors of self-care and compassion that the world needs now more than ever,” said Collins according to Deadline. “Filming in Japan is a wonderful opportunity for us to work with four deserving heroes that will help showcase the incredible traditions and customs of their country.”
Queer Eye: We’re In Japan is set to premiere via Netflix sometime after the series’ highly anticipated season 3 premiere.
