Netflix to showcase popular titles in new daily Top 10 lists

A brand new Netflix feature will soon clue users in to which of the streamer’s titles are the most popular.

Ever wish you could prioritize what you watch on Netflix based on what the majority of users are watching on any given day? If you answered yes, then the good news is you’ll soon be able to do just that!

Netflix revealed on Monday (February 24) that it is planning to roll out a brand new feature that will show users a list of the top 10 most watched titles each day.

According to a blog post published by the streamer, the daily top 10 list will be given its own row, allowing users to see what’s popular in their country. Though the list will be updated daily, the blog post also reveals that “the position of the row will vary depending on how relevant the show and films are to you.”

The streaming giant is also planning to make it easy for users to view top 10 lists by category, revealing that you’ll also be able to see lists for the top 10 most popular series and top 10 most popular films, respectively, by clicking on the tabs for those sections.

Finally, the post also revealed that titles who make the list will be distinguished across the platform with a special “Top 10” badge, meaning you’ll easily be able to identify the most popular titles while you’re browsing by category for something to watch.

Some users in the UK and in Mexico may already be familiar with the new feature as Netflix has been testing it out in those countries for the past six months.

“When you watch a great movie or TV show, you share it with family and friends, or talk about it at work, so other people can enjoy it too,” said the streamer. “We hope these top 10 lists will help create more of these shared moments, while also helping all of us find something to watch more quickly and easily.”
