Need For Speed’s first trailer, featuring Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul, has been released by DreamWorks.
While the film is an adaptation of the popular Need For Speed video game, it’s based on a cross-country race which includes Emmy winner Aaron Paul, who was framed for manslaughter by an ex-Nascar driver that is played by Dominic Cooper.
Fans may remember Cooper for his role in Captain America, where he played Tony Stark’s father, Howard Stark. He’s also starred in quite a few other films in the last few years. Check out the first Need For Speed trailer below thanks to Collider:
While this film most likely hasn’t been on many fan’s most anticipated lists, with Aaron Paul starring alongside Dominic Cooper, it certainly has attracted some solid actors for its main characters.
Poor Jesse Pinkman’s face just can’t avoid getting destroyed on one side it seems, even jumping from his TV show to his new film.
We imagined this would be somewhat of a competitor to the very successful Fast and Furious franchise, but it appears a bit more dramatic in this trailer. Maybe the studio isn’t going straight for the NOS/speed freak audience.
With a couple Bugatti Veyrons, Koenigseggs, and multiple other exotic cars, color me interested as Aaron Paul from Breaking Bad holds on tight for his first film role as Breaking Bad wraps up its finale this Sunday.
Need For Speed stars Aaron Paul, Dominic Cooper, Imogen Poots, Kid Cudi, Rami Malek, Ramon Rodriguez, Harrison Gilbertson, Dakota Johnson, and Michael Keaton. The film’s release date is set for March 14, 2014.
