Disney released a clip that introduces us to Mrs. Whatsit, Reese Witherspoon’s character in Ava DuVernay’s new film, A Wrinkle In Time.
The big screen adaptation of Madeleine L’Engle’s wildly popular novel, A Wrinkle In Time, looks absolutely beautiful. Almost every single shot that we’ve seen in the trailers are breathtaking, colorful, and take us to worlds beyond our imagination.
Of course, one of the other wonderful things about the movie is the all-star cast. This movie is jam-packed with talented actors who we absolutely trust bringing characters to life we all fell in love with back when we were kids.
The movie is heading to theaters soon, and Disney just released a clip to introduce us to one of the film’s most fascinating characters, Mrs. Whatsit. The whimsical Mrs. Whatsit is played by Reese Witherspoon, and this clip gives us our first look at how the character is brought to life.
We’ll have to wait to see more from the movie to really understand the complexity of Mrs. Whatsit, but from the looks of this clip, Witherspoon is going to do a great job portraying this fun, loving, complex character.
We are so excited to see this film come to life on the big screen. A Wrinkle In Time is a book that meant so much to so many of us growing up, and it’s wonderful to see a new generation of kids introduced to the story in new and exciting ways. The story’s message that empowers kids to stand up, be a warrior, and provide light in dark places is such an important, timely message right now.
A Wrinkle In Time arrives in theaters on March 9, and we can finally see for ourselves how the world we fell in love with in Madeleine L’Engle’s novel comes to life. But if the trailers and this new clip are any indication, we’re all in for a great adventure.
