Yes, you read that correctly – a future patch for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will feature mounted combat. PC Skyrim players can try out a beta version of the patch right now.
Patch 1.6 will enable your characters to perform melee and ranged combat whilst riding a horse. This will be the first time that players will be able to fight from a horse in an Elder Scrolls game. Mounts were first introduced in The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
The patch also includes further optimisation and bug fixes.
