Just a day after we learned that Lupita Nyong’o was in talks to join Marvel’s Black Panther, we’re now hearing that Michael B. Jordan is doing the same.
Two-time Black Panther news breaker The Hollywood Reporter has learned that the Fantastic Four and Creed star is expected to appear opposite Chadwick Boseman, who’s playing the lead.
Unfortunately we don’t know anything else Jordan’s role in the movie, though a reporter at THR says he might play the villain:
I've heard from another source that Michael B Jordan would be a villain. Marvel still says no comment. #BlackPanther

Similarly, little was learned yesterday about Nyong’o’s role — all we heard was that she’ll be playing Black Panther’s “love interest.”
News of Jordan’s casting may not be all too surprising, since Black Panther director Ryan Coogler also helmed Creed. Based on what we saw in the Rocky spinoff, we know Jordan and Coogler work great together.
Black Panther is set to hit theaters in February 2018. The character was introduced in Marvel’s latest film, Captain America: Civil War.
