Lovecraft Country creator Misha Green has found a new creative home with Apple Studios.
According to Variety, Misha Green has inked brand new multi-year overall deal with Apple.
The big news comes hot on the heels of word that HBO has opted not to renew Green’s adaptation of author Matt Ruff’s Lovecraft Country for a season 2.
The new overall deal will find Green developing all new television originals for Apple TV+, which is bound to be good news for fans who’ve enjoyed Green’s Lovecraft Country as well as WGN America’s Underground, which Green also co-created.
Misha Green is but the latest notable name to go into business with Apple Studios.
The studio has been making strides to bolster its roster of creatives since its inception, with Martin Scorsese, Leonardo DiCaprio, Oprah Winfrey, Alfonso Cuaron, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Idris Elba all previously having inked first look deals with Apple previously.
Still unknown is what Green’s first Apple Original will be, but we’ll be looking forward to hearing more details about what she’ll be creating as part of the new multi-year deal as projects move into production.
Apple aside, Misha Green also has quite a few high profile projects coming soon to the big screen. Specifically, she’s set to pen the scripts for both Tomb Raider 2 and the upcoming Cleopatra Jones movies. Neither films have been issued release dates yet.
