YouTube superstar Lilly Singh is officially heading to latenight television!
According to Entertainment Weekly, Lilly Singh (better known to some by her YouTube moniker IISuperWomanII) will officially take over NBC’s vacant 1:35 a.m. late-night talk show slot.
The Canadian born comedic actress will take over the spot assumed by Carson Daly’s Last Call with Carson Daly, which wrapped its 17-year stint just last month.
Singh’s new talk show, A Little Late with Lilly Singh, is officially set to kick off in September. When it does, it’ll make Singh the only female currently hosting a late-night talk show on one of the Big 4 networks.
The new show is set to be a half hour program which will feature Singh interviewing guests, as well as starring in pre-taped comedy sketches.
Singh stopped by The Tonight Show where she spoke a bit more about her new talk show, and celebrated the big news by toasting to the new gig with fellow late-night hosts Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers.
In addition, Singh took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post with Team Super fans far and wide.
“I’m so grateful and overwhelmed to be joining this incredible family. I’m numb. I can’t even process. This has been SO long in the making and I’m so happy I can finally share this with you,” wrote Singh in the caption of a photo featuring herself, Fallon, and Meyers. “Thank you, thank you, thank you!”
