Lifetime has officially rounded out their cast of royals for the upcoming movie, Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance.
Earlier this month, we learned that Lifetime was in the process of bringing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s love story to life the only way they know how: in the form of a cheesy made-for-TV movie!
The new flick is set to tell the story of Prince Harry and actress Meghan Markle from the first moment they met, through their public engagement announcement.
The network wasted little time in finding their perfect Meghan and Harry in actors Parisa Fitz-Henley (Jessica Jones, Luke Cage) and Murray Fraser (The Loch).
Now, Lifetime has revealed who will be joining Fitz-Henley and Fraser as part of their on screen royal family.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the network announced on Thursday (February 22) that Burgess Abernathy (H20: Just Add Water) and Laura Mitchell (Menendz: Blood Brothers) have been tapped to play Prince William and Kate Middleton in the new feature.
They’ve also officially found the young actors who will play Prince Harry’s adorable royal niece and nephew. Youngsters Preston Karat and Briella Weintraub will play William and Kate’s children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, respectively.
As with most Lifetime Originals, the actors they’ve chosen aren’t exactly dead ringers for their real life counterparts. You can check out the family portrait they revealed in conjunction with the casting announcement below:
The new slew of actors join previously announced cast members Bonnie Soper (who will play William and Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana) and Maggie Sullivun (who will play HRH Queen Elizabeth II).
Harry & Meghan: A Royal Romance is set to premiere sometime this Spring — just in time for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s real nuptials, which are set for May 19, 2018.
