If you follow Justin Bieber on Twitter, you may’ve seen when he claimed a few days ago that his laptop with “personal footage” was stolen by someone at a concert.
We now see it was part of a prank Bieber played to promote his just-released video for “Beauty and the Beat.”
The song, which features rapper and American Idol judge Nicki Minaj, depicts Bieber filming a video at a water park on his own. Throughout the video you’ll see a variety of male and female dancers that Bieber takes plenty of time showing off. Minaj appears during her rap solo.
It’s a surprisingly fun video, and we even believe that Bieber really was holding up the camera for most of it. We like the original idea, and of course sleeveless, wet Biebz!
“Beauty and the Beat” is off Bieber’s Believe album which debuted in June. This song is the third single off the disc.
For reference, below are the singers tweets he had sent out to fool fans:
yesterday during the show me and my tour manager josh had some stuff stolen. really sucks. people should respect other’s property
