A recently released clip from the Justice League Blu-Ray gives us a look at a Wonder Woman stunt rehearsal for her big bank rescue scene.
Justice League divided fans of the DCEU pretty intensely. With the film’s two directors in Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon, a lot of fans were left wondering what could have been if Snyder was able to complete his work on DC’s biggest superhero team-up movie to date.

The Justice League Blu-Ray gave us a glimpse at a bit of Zack Snyder’s original vision for a key Wonder Woman scene in the film. In her bank rescue scene, the action moved along pretty quickly. And while it was a badass display of Diana’s power, a video of her stuntwoman rehearsing the scene shows that initially it was supposed to contain even more action.
Heroic Hollywood first broke this story, and while the version of the fight that ended up in movie theaters was cool, it cut out a lot of Diana’s Amazonian fighting skills. Of course, it is undeniably badass for Wonder Woman to take out a bank full of bad guys without breaking a sweat, we have to admit that this fight sequence is pretty fantastic.
The video features Gadot’s stuntwoman, Caitlin Dechelle. What makes this truly impressive is the fact that every move is displaying Dechelle’s actual physical abilities, not something that was CGI’d in later. While we expect to see larger-than-life stunts in superhero movies, it’s really cool to Dechelle channel Diana’s Amazon skills without the help of special effects.
Movies are always edited down for a wide variety of reasons, but it’s still really cool to see the initial vision for a scene. It’s even cooler to get a glimpse into the process of bringing those action-packed fight scenes to the big screen, and the huge amount of talent that goes into making a superhero look truly badass. So even though we would have loved to have seen this scene make the final cut of the movie, we’re glad we got to sneak a peek at it in the Justice League special features.
