It looks like love is in the air again for Meredith Grey on Grey’s Anatomy!
According to People, actor Josh Radnor is officially heading to Seattle’s Grey Sloan Memorial hospital.
The How I Met Your Mother alum has reportedly signed on to play a potential love interest for Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and it won’t be long before
Radnor’s character is set to be introduced on this Thursday night’s big two-hour crossover episode between Grey’s Anatomy and Station 19. In it, we’ll see him pick up Meredith for a blind date.
There’s no telling whether or not Radnor’s character will truly sweep Meredith off her feet. While it sounds as though he’s being introduced as a potential love interest for the surgeon, there’s a lot of details we don’t know about Radnor’s upcoming role.
One thing of particular to note is that there’s currently no word on just how many episodes Radnor will appear in. And of course, there’s also no telling whether Meredith will hit it off with Radnor’s mystery man after that initial blind date.
Either way, it’ll be interesting to see Meredith explore the world of dating — something that season 15 plans to do according to showrunner Krista Vernoff.
In a previous interview with TV Line, Vernoff revealed that she’s looking forward to seeing how Meredith fairs in the world of dating.
“I was really interested in seeing someone as beautiful and smart and funny and complex as Meredith actually have to put herself out there,” said the showrunner. “It’s something that somehow we’ve never really seen in 15 seasons of this show.”
