Josh Gad and Isla Fisher are teaming up for a brand new series coming down the pipeline at Peacock.
NBC’s streaming platform, Peacock, is continuing to round out its slate of content.
According to Variety, actors Josh Gad and Isla Fisher have officially signed on to star in a brand new romantic comedy series for the streamer titled Wolf Like Me.
The forthcoming series, which is produced in partnership with Peacock, Made Up Stories, and Endeavor Content and Stan, hails from Little Monsters vet Abe Forsythe.
It follows Gary (Josh Gad) and Mary (Isla Fisher)— two strangers dealing with their own sets of troubles. For Gary, that involves struggling to provide for his daughter following the death of his wife. As for Mary, she’s harboring a secret she can’t bring herself to share with anyone in her life.
In a statement announcing Wolf Like Me Forsythe spoke a bit more about Gad and Fisher’s involvement, in addition to teasing a bit more of what we can expect from the romantic comedy series.
“Wolf Like Me is a very meaningful project for me,” said Forsythe. “The stakes are extremely high but grounded by things we can all relate to. I’m so excited to have Isla and Josh on board, and I know the audience will be surprised seeing them in a different way as these characters.”
Joining Forsythe in working on the series behind the scenes are Jodi Matterson, Bruna Papandrea, and Steve Hutensky, who will executive produce on the series via Made Up Stories. Also executive producing are Gad and Fisher.
In addition, Abe Forsythe will write, executive produce, and direct all six episodes of Wolf Like Me.
Currently, there’s no word on when we might expect to see Wolf Like Me debut via Peacock.
