Jennifer Garner may not be done playing Sydney Bristow after all.
Could Alias be the next series to get the reboot treatment? If the rumors are to be believed, it’s not out of the question.
The ABC series, which wrapped over a decade ago, starred Jennifer Garner in a breakout role as a spy named Sydney Bristow.
Though the Alias writers revealed during a panel at ATX back in 2017 that they’d be interested in revisiting the series provided that it would center around a good story, the jury’s still out on whether or not that’ll ever happen.
If it ever does though, it sounds as though Garner is game to return to the world.
The actress revealed in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that she’d be quite upset if she weren’t asked to return for the reboot in question.
“I’ve heard that there’s an Alias reboot happening, but no one’s talked to me about it,” said Garner. “I mean it would be totally different. But if they didn’t have me on as a guest, I would be very, very angry. But I can’t imagine it being that serious yet because I haven’t heard anything about it at all.”
Regardless of whether a reboot comes to fruition, it’s nice to hear that Garner isn’t ruling out the possibility of reprising her role as Sydney.
Up next, Jennifer Garner fans can catch the actress starring opposite David Tennant in the 10-episode HBO limited series, Camping.
The new series, which comes from Girls producers Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner, premieres Sunday, October 14 at 10 p.m. on HBO.
