Let’s end the week with some happy news: Jason Bateman has announced he’s officially in for Arrested Development season 5.
The actor, who plays Michael Bluth on the Fox-turned-Netflix series, tweeted the news on Friday evening. Based on his tweet, it looks like filming on Arrested Development season 5 will begin this summer:

Arrested Development season 5 has been heavily rumored for years, with many involved in the show not shying away from speaking about its development. We recently learned about the new season’s plot… and it’s not that great. (But we hope we’re proven wrong.)
If contracts are being signed this week, it shouldn’t be long before we hear from other cast members too. Yay!
