Jamie Lee Curtis is officially returning for Universal Pictures’ latest installment of the Halloween franchise.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jamie Lee Curtis has officially signed on to reprise her role as Laurie Strode in Universal’s upcoming Halloween reboot.
News of Curtis’ involvement in the horror flick broke on Friday (September 15) thanks to a tweet sent out by Blumhouse Productions.
“Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode in HALLOWEEN, released by Universal Pictures October 19, 2018,” revealed the production company.
Blumhouse paired their tweet with a great photo of Curtis standing on the iconic porch unassumingly as the sinister Michael Myers stands behind her in the shadows of the doorway.

Curtis’ involvement marks a nice full circle moment for the actress as well, especially considering many credit Curtis’ role in the original 1978 film as the one that put her on the map.
This isn’t the first time Curtis has reprised her role as Laurie. In addition to starring in the original film, Curtis has also appeared in Halloween II, Halloween H20: 20 Years Later, and Halloween: Resurrection..
We’re sure fans of the horror franchise will be looking forward to seeing what Laurie Strode is up to this time around when Halloween returns to the big screen next October!
