James Corden perfectly parodies Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” with his “Lemonjames” video, featured on The Late Late Show.
“I try to write a monologue for you every night. Even when we don’t have a show I write a monologue but you don’t see that.” Poor James just doesn’t want to do another Trump joke, guys.
The parody of Beyoncé’s “Lemonade” video is pretty spot-on! We especially enjoyed the little dig at Jimmy Fallon. Check it out:
For comparison, here’s Beyoncé in the trailer for “Lemonade,” the HBO event that aired on April 23:
What do you think about Corden’s Beyoncé parody? We think he nailed it… but of course we hope this doesn’t hurt his chances of getting Beyoncé herself to do a carpool karaoke, because that would pretty much be the greatest thing ever.
James Corden’s last Carpool Karaoke was with Jennifer Lopez in March, so we’re due another one soon! Previous artists include Adele, Sia, Elton John, One Direction and Jennifer Hudson.

Beyoncé’s actual “Lemonade” is described as “a conceptual project based on every woman’s journey of self knowledge and healing.” The visual album is a personal, intimate look at the pop star, described by many as a window into Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s marriage. It is, at the very least, affecting. Which is exactly why we need parodies like James Corden to bring us back down to earth!
You can find the “Lemonade” album on Tidal, if you haven’t yet given it a listen.
