The upcoming James Bond film will be called Bond 25 no more! The official title has been revealed to be No Time to Die.
We’ve been calling the upcoming James Bond film Bond 25 for so long that, for a while there, I actually forgot the film wasn’t actually titled that.
However, we can all stop referring to Daniel Craig’s newest adventure as 007 as Bond 25 and call the film by its official title: No Time to Die.
The title reveal comes on the heels of some behind-the-scenes footage that was released earlier this summer and gave us our first look at the 25th 007 film.
According to the official plot synopsis from MGM, in No Time to Die, “Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica. His peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help. The mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist turns out to be far more treacherous than expected, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology.”

The release date of No Time to Die has been pushed back multiple times and had a rather troubled production schedule. Though Danny Boyle was initially attached to direct, he left the film due to creative differences. Director Cary Fukunaga, director of Beasts of No Nation and season 1 of True Detective, then stepped in to fill the role.
However, despite behind-the-scenes turmoil and injuries, No Time to Die is still set to meet its April 2020 premiere date.
No Time to Die will be star Daniel Craig’s fifth outing as James Bond, and will see the return of many of the cast from 2015’s Spectre, including Christoph Waltz, Ben Whishaw, Lea Seydoux, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright and Ralph Fiennes.
New cast to the film will include Ana de Armas, Lashana Lynch, and Rami Malek, who will be playing the villain.
Cary Fukunaga co-wrote the script along with Neil Purvis and Robert Wade, as well as Scott Z. Burns and Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
No Time to Die will have its world premiere in the UK on April 3, 2020 and will then be released in the U.S. on April 8, 2020.
