Impeachment: American Crime Story is rounding out its cast with a few late additions.
Update (8/16/2021): According to Deadline, actors Dan Bakkedahl (Veep), Joseph Mazzello (Bohemian Rhapsody), Blair Underwood (Quantico), Kevin Pollak (Mom), Patrick Fischler (The Right Stuff, and Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino have all joined the cast of FX’s Impeachment: American Crime Story.
Word of the hit anthology series’ newest additions to its cast comes on the heels of FX unveiling the first full length trailer for its highly anticipated third season.
For their parts, Mazzello, Underwood, Pollak, and Fischler are all set to take on roles of individuals close to President Bill Clinton in some form or another during the time in which his sex scandal with former White House intern Monica Lewinsky came to night.
Mazello and Underwood will play Clinton advisers Paul Begala and Vernon Jordan, respectively. Pollack will play former White House counsel Bernie Nussbaum, while Fischler will take on the role of Sidney Blumenthal— an aide to President Clinton who also happened to be a confidant of Hilary Clinton.
Finally, Sorvino is rumored to be taking on the role of Lewinsky’s mother, Marcia Lewis.

Update (1/22/2020): According to Deadline, American Horror Story vet, Billy Eichner has joined the cast of the upcoming limited series, American Crime Story: Impeachment.
As we learned when the project was first announced, the latest round of the hit FX series will take place in the 90s and focus on Monica Lewinsky and the impeachment of former President Bill Clinton.
For his part, Eichner has signed on to portray a pretty significant figure in the scandal. Specifically, the Billy on the Street star will be playing the role of Matt Drudge.
For those who need a bit of a refresher, Matt Drudge is a journalist and founder of Drudge Report. It was his publication that first broke the news about the affair taking place between Lewinsky and Clinton on January 17. 1998.
Shortly after news broke, Eichner took to Twitter to express his excitement over joining the cast.

Eichner isn’t the only huge name attached to star in the upcoming third season of the hit anthology series.

Monica Lewinsky and the Clinton impeachment will be the focus of the newest season of FX’s hit anthology series, American Crime Story.
One of the biggest political scandals will be at the forefront of American Crime Story when the hit FX series returns with new episodes sometime next year.
Mashable reports that FX Networks has officially confirmed that season 3 will officially be titled Impeachment: American Crime Story.
Taking place in the late ’90s, the anthology series’ third season will focus on bringing the story of former President Bill Clinton’s 1998 impeachment to the small screen.
In addition to announcing Impeachment: American Crime Story, the network also revealed that they’d tapped a pretty prominent figure help bring the story to life.
Former White House intern turned activist/fashion designer, Monica Lewinsky, will serve as an executive producer on the project.
In a statement made to Vanity Fair, Lewinsky revealed that it was producer Ryan Murphy who first approached her about the idea for Impeachment: American Crime Story, and additionally convinced her to sign on as producer.
“I was hesitant, and truthfully more than a little scared to sign on. But after a lengthy dinner meeting with Ryan, I came to understand even more clearly how dedicated he is to giving a voice to the marginalized in all of his brilliant work,” wrote Lewinsky. “I’m privileged to work with him and the other talented people on the team, and I’m privileged to have this opportunity.”
In addition to announcing Lewinsky’s involvement, Fx Networks also announced on Tuesday (August 6) that they’d cast Booksmart star Beanie Feldstein to portray Lewinsky in the series.
Others who will be joining Feldstein on screen include Sarah Paulson (The People v. O.J. Simpson) and Annaleigh Ashford (The Assassination of Gianni Versace). They’ll be playing Linda Tripp and Paula Jones, respectively.
